István Ádám Kiss has served as President of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office since March 2023. Under the professional supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, he plays a key role in renewing Hungary’s innovation ecosystem, shaping funding schemes and strategic programmes, and coordinating the use of resources of the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund.

He began his career as an investment banker and later held senior leadership positions in capital market and privatization transactions. As Deputy CEO and subsequently CEO within the Díjbeszedő Group, he led strategic development and, under his leadership, the factoring subsidiary became Hungary’s leading retail debt-purchasing financial institution.

His experience spans corporate governance, strategy development, and financial investments, complemented by active engagement in social initiatives
