dr. Gábor Lotz
Dr. Gábor Lotz, Associate Professor, Head of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory at the 2nd Institute of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Semmelweis University.
He graduated summa cum laude in 1997 from Semmelweis University of Medicine. In 2004, he received his specialist examination in pathology and a Ph.D. degree. In 2014, he took a specialist examination in molecular genetic diagnostics.
Between 1992 and 1997, he worked as a student researcher at the 2nd Institute of Chemical-Biochemistry and then, at the 1st Institute of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research of the Semmelweis University of Medicine.
He has participated in study tours and fellowships at universities abroad such as Hôpital Necker and Institut Pasteur (Paris, 1998), Allgemeines Krankenhaus (Vienna, 1999 és 2000), Washington State University (Pullman, 2000), Albert-Ludwigs University (Freiburg, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019).
His scientific interests include pathology, oncology, gastroenterology, renal diseases, molecular biology, molecular pathology and molecular diagnostics.
Dr. Gábor Lotz’s work and the quality of his activities are marked by a series of awards and placements.
