About the position
We are seeking highly motivated and talented scientists to join our laboratory, which is collaboratively supervised by BrainVisionCenter Nonprofit Ltd. and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel. Our research focuses on understanding the function of large-scale neuronal networks in both the cortex and the retina during vision and complex cognitive tasks. We aim to map the neuronal networks of the visual cortex and retina in awake, behaving animals, including rodents and primates. Our techniques include fast optical measurements combined with photoactivation, electrophysiological measurements (patch clamp, LFP), and neuroanatomy.
Our products are at the cutting edge of neurophotonics and neuroscience research, and we are advancing in the high-potential area of life sciences. Our goal is to bring revolutionary technology to human medicine, including brain research, vision restoration, cancer studies, and the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
